Alcohol-free activities

Posted 1 day ago

Soberly sip your way around the city

At the beginning of the year, you're still getting to grips with your new city and local area, so especially after Freshers' Week, you may want to opt for a more low-key, alcohol-free activity.

Exploring the city without the booze can be so much fun (and cheaper). Don't forget, we also have plenty of alcohol-free halls events too!

Culture & Local Exploration 🏛️

SeaCity Museum

Discover some local history and the city's famous connections to the Titanic through interactive exhibits and audio recordings. It's a great way to bond and spend time with your flatmates, learn about your new city and save some money. Student tickets cost £12, with an extra 10% off when booked in advance!

Tudor House & Garden

Explore this historic heritage venue in the Old Town. If you stop by their on-site café, you can get a free tower admission ticket. But if you're looking to save a few pennies for another day, you can take a free, self-guided stroll around the medieval town walls and scenic Ocean Village marina area.

Gaming & Activites 🕹️

High Scores Arcades

Level up your next outing at High Scores Arcade. Located on East Street, they offer a nostalgic, stress-free experience right in the city centre. You can pay a fixed price for 60- or 90-minute free-play sessions, which offer pure gaming freedom.

1st Base

Feeling sporty? 1st Base is the UK's first immersive baseball experience. With its American Style, they feature alternative entertainment and social gaming and offers 20% off bookings and food items with student offers!

Nature & Day Trips 🌱

The New Forest National park

Catch a short 20-minute train ride from the city to open heathlands, walking trails and roaming ponies. It's the perfect low-cost weekend and the ultimate escape from your studies.
