If you're a resident at City Gateway and find yourself seeking a break from the fast pace of University life in the lead up to exam season, then pay a visit to the Relaxation Room.
The Relaxation Room will open its doors for the first time on 17 March — just in time for Neurodiversity Celebration Week — and will be open for bookings 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Featuring comfortable beanbag chairs, the Relaxation Room offers a quiet oasis in the middle of city living.
Enjoy the therapeutic effect of atmospheric lighting, absorb yourself in a book on inner peace and relaxation, reduce stress levels with sensory toys, or find mindfulness and improve your focus with a spot of colouring.
Visit the City Gateway reception to book a slot in the Relaxation Room.
A slot lasts two hours and each student can book up to three slots per week.
The maximum capacity per booking is three people.
