We recently asked the Residence Life Assistants at City Gateway to tell us a bit about themselves and what they offer in halls at City Gateway.

I’m Eric, a third-year Economics student. Last year, I lived in Halls and had an amazing time attending the various events and activities organised by the RLA team. This year, I’ve had the pleasure of helping to create the same vibrant community at City Gateway. 

Hi! I’m Alyssa, and I’m in my second year studying Economics with Data Science. I enjoy playing volleyball and I’m on the committee for the society this year as well! I think it’s a good idea to join a club or society as you get to meet so many people who share the same interests as you. I’ve loved working as an RLA at City Gateway so far and being able to get to know everyone.  

Together, we have organised a range of events to bring residents together, from all kinds of craft events such as origami, and Tote Bag Decorating to other fun events like a Pizza and Board Games night. Our goal is to make halls a fun and inclusive place for everyone. Events take place on Monday evenings from 7pm-9pm, but we are also in the common room on Tuesdays between 6.15-8.15 if you want to come in for a chat.
