Hi! We are your ResLife Assistants (RLAs) at Highfield Hall for the 2026/7 academic year.

We are a team of student ambassadors dedicated to welcoming you to your new home as well as supporting you while you live at Highfield Hall. We host free ResLife events in the common room across the academic year, including six weeks of weekly activity to help you make friends and have fun from Welcome Week to Halloween. Plus, our outreach RLAs will be visiting your flats to say hi and make sure your time living at Highfield Hall and studying at the University of Southampton is the best it can be.

What do RLAs do?
ResLife Assistants (RLAs) are student ambassadors who help create a welcoming community in halls. They'll organise events, visit residents in their flats, answer questions and help connect you with support services throughout the year.

🚴 Hobbies: Staying active through cycling and the gym, and playing video games

🎓 Course: 2nd Year Ancient History and Archaeology

🧶 Hobbies: Crafting, history and yoga

Three words that describe me: Inquisitive, passionate, understanding

My message to you: "
Being away from home for the first time can be difficult, so attend as many student events as you can, especially during Freshers. Remember that you can still make friends after the first few weeks, and don't forget that we, the RLAs, are always here to help!"

My message to you:
"Have fun and put yourself out there! You might make some of your best friends in halls, like I did. Make the most of your time here, and don't hesitate to reach out if you need any support."
