Find out about your Archers' Road RLAs!

Hi everyone! I’m Karla and I’m one of your ResLife Assistants. I lived in Romero Halls, Archers Road in 2022/2023 and I have been working at Archers as an RLA since last year. I’m currently in my 3rd year studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Outside of my time at ResLife, I am the Editor-in-Chief of Wessex Scene - the student magazine at UoS. Writing is my main passion and I want to be a writer after university. I am also the President of the Taylor Swift Society; I am a huge Swiftie and if you talk to me about Taylor Swift or ask me to play her songs during any of our events it will probably make my day! I am also the President of the Vegan and Vegetarian Society. My favourite ResLife event so far has been decorating photo frames, and I’m most looking forward to doing more crafty events in the future. Come say hi to me in the common rooms on Tuesday and Thursday evenings!

Hi everyone! I’m Akshita Gupta, one of your Residence Life Assistants (RLA) for Archers Road this year! I’m a second year Business Management student at the University of Southampton, and I’ve had the chance to experience life in both Romero and Gateley Halls.

As the President of the Women in Business Society, I’m passionate about empowering and supporting women pursuing careers in business. Outside of academics, you’ll often find me traveling, listening to music, dancing, or indulging in a bit of shopping! One of my favorite Res Life events at Archers Road has to be our arts and crafts events, where we get to meet and connect with each other.

Whether you have questions about halls or just want to chat, I’m here to help make your time at Archers Road as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Don’t hesitate to reach out!

Hi! I’m Nivedita, one of the Archers Road ResLife Assistants this year. I am in my second year of Environmental Geoscience. I love travelling and am a very outdoorsy person. In my spare time, I enjoy playing the flute, and going to concerts and musicals. I am very passionate about my extensive rock collection and flags of the world contests. We are running really exciting events at the Archers Road Common Rooms this year, including games night, free pizza, friendship bracelet, clay modelling, movie night and mug decorating. There is really a range of events and definitely something for everyone!

Events at Archers Road take place weekly on Tuesdays between 7pm-9pm, alternating between Romero and Gateley Common Rooms (please check the MySouthampton App and / or the HallsLife website for which one we’ll be at). If you fancy a chat with us, we‘ll also be in Gateley common room on Thursdays between 6-8pm.
