Improvements will be made to the Erasmus Park common room

Erasmus Park common room and reception area will have refurbishment works this summer to create an improved social area and new post storage room. 

The works start this summer and will help further utilise the area available in the common room and provide practical improvements to the reception space. On completion the reception area and social space will benefit from:

• New TV and lounge/gaming area.
• New bi-fold doors opening onto patio area.
• New timber pergola over patio area with electric heaters and new lighting.
• Newly painted and decorated walls in social space.
• New furniture providing additional seating and tables.
• New kitchen units.
• New post room for increased storage of resident post prior to collection.

Important information for residents including temporary reception 

Due to the works there will be some disruption to residents. This will involve the temporary relocation of reception to Flat 42 from Monday 30 June to Monday 15 September, with works commencing Monday 7 July.  Works will take place between 09:00 and 17:00 (Monday to Friday only).

What this means for residents

• All existing common room and reception facilities, including the toilet, kitchen, computers and patio area, will be closed during the works. 
• Students will be able to collect post, use the printer, and speak to staff at the alternative location of Flat 42.
• You will need to ring the doorbell to get access to this area. The doorbell will be installed prior to the move. Please note there may be times that Reception is un-manned and there may be a delay in accessing facilities. 
• There will be directional signage for students, visitors, and delivery drivers to the alternative Reception location.
• Contractors and their equipment will be on-site during the works. Please adhere to any health and safety instruction or signage provided.
• During the works, there will be noise disturbance and vibrations, which may be more noticeable to residents living closest to Reception.
