How to contact us if you require help and support

Studying and living at university can be an exciting and rewarding experience, but it can also come with some challenges and difficulties. Whether you need help with your academic work, your mental health and wellbeing, your finances, or any other aspect of student life, there are support services available at Southampton to help you. Please find below information on who to contact if you require assistance.

Below you can find details about the Student Hub, iSolutions and what your on site halls reception can assist you with.

The Student Hub

The Student Hub is your main point of contact for support at Southampton and for any questions you may have. Whether you need help with wellbeing, disability, fees, finance, accommodation, or course administration, we're here to help you. You can get in touch 08:00-20:00, Monday to Friday, via email, online chat, or by calling 02380 599 599. You can also visit us in person - check the website for opening times. Wellbeing support is available 24/7 online or in person in B37 on Highfield Campus.

Here's the contact details for the Student Hub:

Your Halls site reception

At each halls reception there is a team of hardworking, dedicated people who work tirelessly to ensure you have a comfortable and pleasant time here. During your stay these are the people who will look after you and keep your halls site clean and safe. Your reception team can help you with most things, some of which we’ve listed below.

You can visit in person or call the Reception switchboard number 02380 595777 or 25777, then press the extension number for your site reception.

Extension number by site: Archers Road: 3, City Gateway: 1, Erasmus Park: 2, Glen Eyre: 4, Highfield Hall: 5, Mayflower: 6, Wessex Lane: 7

(Please note, in instances of a site reception being unable to answer the phone, you may be diverted to another site reception to assist you.)

Your site reception can help you with:

  • Picking up your post & parcels (with exception of Glen Eyre which has a separate post room at Chamberlain hall)
  • Raising & scheduling maintenance jobs
  • Managing site security
  • Area/site knowledge
  • Replacement keys & lock outs
  • Signposting to other University services
