Apply with friends to return to University halls

Still looking for somewhere to live for 2025/25? Applications to return to halls are open from now until 1 July 2025. Those currently living in halls can apply to return to halls with friends and enjoy:

• Sept-July contract option - avoiding year round rent
• All inclusive rents - no additional utility or Wi-Fi bills
• 24 hour reception cover and safe, secure environment
• 24/7 maintenance teams with easy reporting when things break and no maintenance costs to fix it

• Secure bike storage

As a current student applying to return to University halls you are able to apply as a group with friends (and what's more - not all members of the group need to have previously lived in halls).

The application process is the same as for first-year students, with one important exception – you don't need to re-register on the application portal.

Due to anticipated high demand from new students for 2025-26, returning student numbers will be limited. Priority will be given to students supported by Student Disability and Inclusion, Widening Participation (including Care Leavers) and Student Wellbeing.

Applying as a group:

When applying, you must first agree a 'Group Reference' amongst your group - try to make it unique so that there is no confusion with other groups.

We must receive an application from everyone in the group individually* and each applicant must enter your agreed 'Group Reference' on the final page, before submitting the application.

When applying as a group, you will also need to select the same site/room type/catering/contract preferences.

*any member of your group who has not previously lived in halls will need to first register and create an account on our accommodation portal.

When to apply:

Applications are currently open, applications can be submitted up until Tuesday 1 July 2025. Applications will be made via the Accommodation portal.

Once you have applied you will receive an offer of accommodation a week after applying.
