Founder talk: Steve Fleming MBE, co-founder, Kick4Life FC
What if a football club could do more than win matches — what if it could transform lives?
Join the Social Impact Lab in welcoming Steve Fleming MBE, co-founder of Kick4Life FC, the world's first football club exclusively dedicated to social change. Based in Lesotho, southern Africa, social enterprise Kick4Life reinvests 100% profits into social development including programmes that tackle youth unemployment, gender inequality, and health challenges. Kick4Life utilises sport, education, and enterprise as catalysts for social change.
Under Fleming's leadership, Kick4Life has grown into a global leader in Sport for Development, recently earning the prestigious Laureus Sport for Good Award. The progression of this project from a bold idea to an internationally recognised movement highlights what's possible when purpose and passion collide.
Throughout the talk, Fleming will discuss:
- How Kick4Life became a pioneering model for social enterprise in sport
- What it takes to build impactful, community-driven programmes
- Lessons in leadership, innovation, and purpose-led entrepreneurship
- How you can use your skills, studies, and passions to drive positive change
If you're interested in social innovation, global development, sport, or building a career with purpose, this is a session you won't want to miss.
