Easy access for everyone

There are many essential free services available right here on campus! These services are there to support your wellbeing and finances, so take advantage of them when you can:

Microwaves

Microwaves are available for student use on campus, including specific social spaces and study areas within the Student Union (SUSU) and in catered halls.

Key Locations

• SUSU Building 42: Dedicated spaces like the "Veg Out" area provide a microwave.
• Campus Kitchen: Self-service options are available, and the 'Fountain Canteen' also offer a microwave station. 
• Boldrewood: Building 176, Level 2

Water

Free water points and fountains are available across campus for refilling your water bottles – find a drinking water point near you. 

You can also ask for tap water at the SUSU or any catering outlet (also for free!). 

Unilink Bus Pass

If you're living uni-managed halls within Southampton (excluding Erasmus Park residents or private partner halls), you will also have access to a free annual bus pass, usable on all Unilink and Bluestar buses in the area. 

This pass will be available to you throughout your contract period. Please be aware that if your contract is ended early, your bus pass will also expire.

How to activate: You'll need to download the Unilink bus app and create an account using your university email address, and then you'll receive a bus pass gift code for you to activate on the app. 

Period Products

Free period products, provided by SUSU, are available on campus. They're currently located in toilets within buildings 40 and 42.
