Find out about the events Residence Life has to offer and more about your Residence Life Assistants at Wessex Lane!

At Wessex Lane, students can take part in a variety of exciting events. Some of our past events have included photo frame decorating, mug painting, clay modeling, and origami night. There are also lively bingo and games nights where students can relax, make new friends, and spend time with the ResLife Assistants. Special events like free pizza and donuts add to the fun, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all! Look out for our Christmas themed events in the near future!

Shania: Hi everyone! I’m a 3rd-year Maths with Finance student and one of your ResLife Assistants for Wessex Lane this year. Alongside my studies, I’m an events rep for the Indian Society, which allows me to stay involved in organizing fun and meaningful events for the community. In my free time, I love cooking, hitting the gym, watching movies, and just relaxing with my friends. I’m really excited for this upcoming year and looking forward to working with you all to enhance your student experience here at Wessex Lane. 

Lewis: Hi, I’m Lewis, one of your RLA’s at Wessex Lane this year, and am in my 4th year studying Biology and Marine Biology. When not in the lab, I spend my time going outdoors as much as possible, and am involved in the Mountaineering and Surf Societies. I am also the Welfare Sec for NOC Society (Ocean and Earth Sciences), so if you have any issues, I’ll be happy to help. 

Justine: Hi, my name is Justine, and I am a 2nd year Chemistry student. I work as a ResLife Assistant at Wessex Lane, where I help create a welcoming and supportive environment for students by organizing events and offering guidance. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, sewing and basically anything arts & crafts. I can’t wait to get to know you all and help make your time here memorable with some free food and crafts!

Events take place in The Boiler House on Mondays between 7-9pm. If you would like to have a chat with your RLAs, they will also be in the common room on Tuesdays between 6-8pm.
