We recently asked our Residence Life Assistants (RLAs) at Erasmus Park to tell us a bit more about themselves and the events they run, read on below to find out what they have to say:
Hello, my name is Yasmin Jabi! I’m a third-year Fine Art student and an international student from Palestine. I understand what it’s like to adjust to life on campus and in a new country, so I’m here to help make your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Whether you have questions, need advice, or just want someone to chat with, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m looking forward to getting to know you and making Erasmus Park feel like home.
Hi, I’m Henna Ibrahim! I’m currently a third-year Fashion Design student at Winchester School of Art, and I’ll be organising fun events each week, so you’ll definitely see me around. Having lived in Erasmus Park during my first year, I’m familiar with both the halls and the Winchester area. Outside of my studies, I’m involved in sports, including hockey and lacrosse, and I love spending time reading and visiting exhibitions.
We mainly run Arts and Crafts event, however we also run events such as a Pizza and Games night and a Movie Night, so don’t miss out! We always try to look out for any holidays or celebrations we could include in our events, or even just general suggestions from other students. We aim for our events to be fun, sociable, and a way to help you de-stress from your university workload.
We’re in Erasmus Park every week on Mondays from 6-8pm and Fridays from 6:30-9:30pm. If you have any enquiries, come visit us during outreach on Mondays, and if you want to have some fun and enjoy some of the amazing events we’ll be planning for this year, come to the Common Room on Fridays. We can’t wait to meet you all!
